We care about the planet and your babies’ skin that is why we use sustainable organic cotton and plan to launch another line in bamboo fibre later in 2021.
No chemicals are used in the production of organic cotton so it is much gentler on your babies’ skin and as organic cotton always keeps its natural state it is mould resistant and antimicrobial too. As the fibre has not been damaged by chemicals it lasts longer, so although more pricey we have decided to go with this higher-grade product to ensure quality.
Not only is it better for babies, it is better for our planet. As no toxic chemicals are used, it doesn’t damage the soil, has less impact on the air and uses 88% less water and 62% less energy, reducing the environmental footprint considerably.
All of our organic cotton adheres to the Global Organic Textile Standard. GOTS is the worldwide leading textile standard for organic fibres. The standard covers all stages of the process from manufacturing to distribution, including ecological and social criteria. For further information please visit the GOTS website.
Bamboo Fibre is softer than cotton with a natural smoothness that can compete with cashmere any day, move aside babies! It is always grown organically without the need of pesticides and is processed in a safe and eco-friendly way, so is gentle to your little one’s skin. With its water absorbent qualities and hypoallergenic material, it can reduce the symptoms of asthma, skin problems and allergies.
Although it has a thin luxurious silky feel it has thermal regulating qualities that can keep your baby warm in winter and cool in the summer months. Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal which helps keep your baby clean and fresh.
All of our packaging comes from No Issue and as a member of their Eco-Packaging Alliance a tree is planted for every order we make.
Our compostable mailers are made from a combination of PBAT, a bio-based polymer which is compostable, and PLA which is made up of plant materials such as regular field corn and wheat straw, making it an incredibly low-impact resource.
The tissues paper and stickers are FSC certified, acid free and printed with soy-based inks.
